I'm sorry to spoil the party, but I just can't seriously imagine that the xian god could exist. It's such a daft set of concepts.

I manage to live with life as I find it because "shit happens" and it happens according to pretty consistent statistics. So one may be the victim of horrible events and take some sort of comfort in the fact that it's blind chance.

But to find that all the shit is designed! How horrible!

Why? If there were such a thing as hell, I'd probably go to it for blasphemy or something (good thing there isn't; that would kinda suck). And what's god gonna do that's worse than that? Make me *not exist*? Oh, darn. 'Course, he could always send me to heaven, I suppose, where I'd be bored shitless, and annoyed constantly by bleaters, but hey, that one would work both ways.

I prefer the Blackadder version:

As private parts to the gods are we;
They play with us for their sport.

It's natural that we're drawn to religion. As flies we are, lowly in mind and compelled by nature to alight upon all great heaps of dung.

It would help if you explained WHICH Christian God you were talking about.

You could save my self-esteem by saying your nick came from somewhere else. I feel like a horrible nerd for making the connection already.
Yes and no. I got the name originally from a CD a buddy gave me full of dance mixes. It had a "one winged angel" remix on it that was cool, so I started using the name. But I didn't stop when I found out were the name came from, so I'm half guilty.

Pick one. It's more about the heaven/hell concept than the particular diety involved.
