Post If God shows himself...

If one looks at all the misery that religion has brought to the world – some people might stone God if they could get hold of him. So even he does show up one day, or proves his existence otherwise, that would not make believers/ worshippers out of everyone – or would it?

Well it depends, I assume since you use the capital G, you are referring to the Judeo/Christian/Muslim God that was either El or YWH in the Old Testament. If he showed himself (and offered substantial proof), than I would have no choice but to believe that he existed. However if he were to state the bible was an accurate depiction of him, I would not worship him.

When would you worship him?

Pierre

"Hi Dave
When would you worship him?"

Me:

I don't honestly know, but since I'll never have to answer that question I'm not going to worry about it. . .

I would only worship him if he was serious about the whole "heaven/hell" thing... Unless satan could show his deal was a lot better. ( I mean, loads of screaming naked people, whips and chains doesn't sound like too bad a deal hey??!, nice and toasty as well!)

I would ask if he were serious about the whole hell thing. If so, I guess I would be forced to spend the rest of eternity kissing his stinking sandals...nice alternative eh?

I remember reading the Jews had a quip that goes like this: "If God lived on Earth, people would throw stones through his windows."

I think if God showed up one day that would be proof of his existence, however many would not necessarily "worship" him...

I can picture Infinity saying "where the hell were you? what took so long?"

I would try to hide any bombs from winstonjen...

I personally would give God a hug because I love him
(can I have some marshmallows with the flames that may be coming my way I rather enjoy making smores)
