How many evolutionary atheists do you see standing for definitive morals? None!
Don't the people who make that argument ever see the irony in it? Many people who talk about the need for "definitive morals" rely on Ayn Rand for those morals, and we all know what a good creationist theist she was.

Default intellectually stimulating?

While I very much enjoy using cuss words to vent anger when my favorite sports team loses, I think there are times when proper language should be used and when cussing is inappropriate.

There is a consistent theme throughout these forums and it is disturbing to me. The theme is that “Creationists” are “fucking stupid”, “ass holes”, “idiots”, and so forth.

The implication is, of course, that there is no scientific reason for disbelieving in macroevolution. That kind of UN-objective mind-frame is the same thing that evolutionists accuse creationists of---and I admit many creationists are very UN-objective. (I’ve read many “Answers in Genesis” essays and found most to be full of holes and presumptions).

At this point you may be confused as to my position. Well, I am currently neutral. I do not wish to take a position on creation VS evolution until I have reviewed most---preferably all--- of the literature pertaining to the issue.

JFYI, I do not believe in the Bible and frankly, am suprised when the Bible is invoked as some sort of “ethical guide” when it is full of ethical loop-holes. For example, the non-condemnation of Kings having hundreds of wives and sex servants, and then the condemnation of incest. No, I am not a supporter of incest, but I think it was hypocritical of the Biblical authors to condemn monogamous incest while at the same time condoning having one thousand (non-related) sex partners at once.

But anyway, back to the subject. The language thus far seen on these forums is disappointing in its emotional and UN-objective content. When I registered to this forum I was under the impression that the discussions would be “intellectually stimulating”, but I have seen nothing of the sort.

Please do not take this as an insult. I just feel that posters here should be more appropriate with their words and not allow their emotions to get the best of them.

I agree with your post but think this is an overgeneralization. This place is not as you describe.

EvC does get some bloody, sometimes.
