According to the bible, at least--(Mainly Paul's theology-Death entered the world through sin and so forth)wouldn't that cause one hell of an overpopulation problem? If you think we're overcrowded now, imagine what would happen if people kept "Multyplying" and never died! Also what about the organisms which feed on dead matter(Decomposers)? Did God create them after death entered the Universe?

Well the answer to your question is clearly "yes." Any time the birth rate is greater than the death rate, you get population growth.

Don't be silly. Sex, being inherently sinful, only came about after the fall. Adam and Eve just hung around the garden naked all day kow-towing to God.

They were there, feeding on the skin that the talking serpent shed every few weeks. And also worshipping God in their own bacterial way.

But that skin was originally made of living, respiring, healthy cells! Did the cells...die?

Turning that around a bit, it's also true that Adam and Eve couldn't have had sex, because Adam would have squirted out billions of innocent sperm cells that would have had to die fruitlessly. Unless the sperm were also immortal, and lingered forever wherever they ended up. In which case, Satan would have had a very easy job convincing Eve to eat the apple: "Chow down on this, and all that slippery slimy stuff that's coating everything in the Garden will disappear!"

Of course, the reason things like blood cells die is that they get damaged in use. So it�s fifty-fifty whether Adam burst from �hyperhaemia� or turned blue from inefficient oxygen transport to his tissues. Looks like he�d have had a stroke and dozens of thromboses within days of his creation. But of course he�d still be alive... a squishy pulp, admittedly, but still alive...

Do you get the feeling that maybe not all death started at the Fall? In which case, maybe its proponents could tell us what did and didn't die pre-fall, and why? And maybe define death while they're at it....?

Actually, I can hear it now. It's only human death.
