What is "gender confusion", what on earth does homosexual marriage have to do with it, and why would it threaten the survival of a nation?

Please explain the concepts you create. At least provide examples or definitions of what you mean; otherwise several people interpret your words in many different ways and the thread devolves into a flamewar.

Can't speak for everybody, but at least some of us on this side of the issue are looking at the long term possiblities for the current immoral infrastraucture. No way in the world will a nation survive if telling consenting adults who they can and can't marry stays as the norm; and that surely is where things like banning homosexual marriage are leading us.

Gender confusion is men acting like women and vice versa. Homosexual marriage robs the child of either a male or female role model, encouraging this confusion. A nation of people who have forgotten who and what they are can easily be bullied and/or manipulated, as is apparently happening in Holland, among other places.

What qualifies as "men acting like women and vice versa"? Women working? Women having the right to vote? A woman having the right to a divorce if she wishes it? All of these things were hard to come by for women just a hundred years ago. They were considered to be a man's place and not a woman's. Where do you draw the line when it comes to decided when "men act like women and vice versa"? Society changes and so do gender roles (which you seem to take as confusion.)

I've yet to meet a single gay or lesbian couple with children who have no friends of the opposite gender.

Nothing erodes the moral infrastructure like oppression; the most oppressive states have been some of the shortest lived.

That's not a given, and in any event, it's irrelevant; allowing same sex couples to be legally recognized and allowed the same legitimate rights of the majority is not "gender confusion."

Where is the evidence to support this otherwise unsubstantiated assertion?
