Amateur Rocketry
I'd say this one blows away my two-stage cardboard tube rocket.

That is cool. I never realized that an amateur rocket has even gone 53 miles before.

for a couple hundred bucks, you can get some composite rocket kits that are 9 feet long, and probably shouldn't be launched near airports....

How are rocket engines beyond D or E regulated? Or are they?
