Amos,
What do you think the PET scans of the brains of Charismatic fundies would look like?

Delusional? Psychotic?

Kally I do not know anything about that but have read that the very centre or our lymbic system has an idle spot and this is where religious experiences can be imitated. This would be a way to affirm tampering of some sort that leads to such erratic behavior . . . which, in the end caused the Twin Towers to collapse (I hold that terrorism is an act of retalliation by equally deluded religious people). Kally this last line has to be true because even you and I could love each other without religion and in the end always tolerate each other without killing each other.

I am waiting for a lawsuit.

Amos

Edited to remove your beatiful picture but I want no part of it (sounds schizophrenic?).

Thumbs up

That is exactly what makes it such dangerous trickery and charismatic evangelists have learned to trigger a "ligh flash" in this "pleasure centre." A good shot of this will sent them jumping for joy and later souring trough midheaven for the rest of their days while burning scriptures to stay aloft to let them crash in the end and die anyway.
Amos,
I love the way you can make me laugh by describing the antics of charismatic evangelists.

They are biblical and have been the terror of religion ever since its conception.

An allegory describes best what they do. There is such a thing as metamorphosis for humans and much like a butterfly we can spin a cocoon just prior to midlife. In the early church it was called "involutional melancholia" (See "Melancholia" by Albrecht Dhurer) and today we recognize it as a hormonal imbalance often treated with yin/yang medicine (hormone therapy). Evangelists love to get their hands on such people and actually remove this cocoon with "light-flash" trickery. In the bible it is called "where the carcass lies the vultures will gather."

In charismatic circles the "suffering soul" is invited into their gathering and the necessary condition is stimulated when they "pray the HS down from heaven." A deathening silence often preambles the hokus pokus event and if successfull a rejoicing follows afterwards. It is the height of witchcraft and America's favorite pass-time sport. It is described in Rev. 14:6-11.
