I've been an atheist longer than most of you have been alive.

Is this supposed to be impressive? Age doesn't always come with wisdom, sometimes age comes all by itself. Maybe you could kindly show me the switch in my brain to turn the anger off... You know nothing about me or what I've been through.

I've been pretending to not be angry for the last year here. It's still there, and I like it.

The little you have revealed about your mom and your dad tells me that you have been thru a lot....as long as you realize that neither Amie or myself are your mother nor would we treat anyone the way she has treated you, it may help diffuse your anger against all christians.

When I become angry personaly it is to express pain. That is how as a child I could express any pain. I found that it is OK to breakdown and express pain on someone's shoulder rather than take it out on them. It is liberating.

I think both my shoulder and Amie's are available in PM.

( sorry if I put you on the spot Amie but you seem to be the kind of person who is going to listen without coming out with a " let us pray").

Amie and Sabine,

I dont remember being an asshole on this thread, but if I have I apologize. I do respect both of you. You are both sincere, and fairly open minded for a theist, you have to realize that I am a pretty hard core atheist, so what I just said about being sincere and open minded is about the highest praise I can offer to a theist.

I just wanted to say, that if I have shat(pass tense of shit?) on your beliefs, I apologize. Just because some people here are extremely pissed off in general at xianity, doesnt mean we are all assholes.

Also, please remember that most of us have grown up in and continue to live in a xian society where our beliefs are looked down on, so its easy to be defensive and angry.

edited cuz I spell like a blind retarded bonobo chimp

you are right when you posted "you don't know what I've gone through" I am sorry you had to endure what you did however being angry at the people who were the cause of your suffering is one thing, being angry at random strangers for those things is another. Those people screwed up and they happened to be christians.
you stated you are angry and you like it. Whats there to like about it?

RIGHT ... as is in my case.(By the way Aimee, I don't have to define "moon." You know that. We all know what the moon is. Or did you grow up in a bomb shelter like in that movie with Brenden Frasier?)
nah I was just teasing about the moon thing...but I do understand what you are saying about don't ignore the assholes. I just meant that if they say something for no purpose other than to provoke I'm not going to bother responding...
sometimes I really suck at wording things

Joseph I must admit when I go onto the philosophy forum I haven't a clue what those guys are talking about. I just read some threads and at the end I sit there thinking "huh"?!
I never did do well in philosophy or logic class no matter how hard I tried...
I would like to have a better understanding of philosophy...
stick around Joseph

I can feel quite a few sparks in this thread again... waouh! Amie it is all your fault !
Should we also have an argument for the fun of it?
Anyone would like a cup of mint tea to relax a little?
