Given that probes into the limbic system of your brain can evoke fear, anger, pleasure, that a hole in your prefrontal cortex may hide your moral censors and have you sounding like a Tourettes victim, and that a slight imbalance of your neurotransmitters can make you happy or glum, and that chemicals binding to some of your receptors can make you have visions of angels and devils--are we not far off from a belief catalogue based on brain chemistry in its present state of evolution?
