More archaic Bible Babel
A car drove past my car on the highway and it had a "I am saved" like bumper sticker. This made me think. The word "save" is a rather strong one. It denotes that danger will exist. Seeing that god is in control, the only danger that will be able to exist will be at god's own will. For a person to be saved, there must either be a written record prior to the event where as choosen individuals will be spared this danger, or a person must under go some sort of ritual in order to be passed over when the danger comes.
This all sounds so archaic to me. How is this any different than any other god? While Jesus seemed to promote peace, the crucifixion and the revelation both seem to be connections to a vengeful god while Jesus is the only link to a happy god. Why is there so much ancient folklore in the "New" Testament? Secondly, did Jesus warn of a Revelation? |

The Christian God is different than any other God, because all other God's require some form of works to be done to receive salvation ( Im well aware that works are important in Christianity - but they come after Salvation, not before). Christianity is the only one where God does all the work to save humanity, the only thing we need to do is believe.
Religion is man's way of reaching God, Christianity is God's way of reaching man. And yes, Jesus did warn of Revelation and the end times. |

2) Care to support your conclusion on Jesus and Armageddon? 3) Work is required to be saved by God. You must believe. That is an action. |

Are you sure about that? Not all mythologies even have the concept of needing "salvation". So if you don't need salvation, obviously you don't need to work for salvation, nor do you need grace for salvation. Religion is man's way of reaching God, Christianity is God's way of reaching man. Christianity is a religion; therefore it is just another way for man to try to reach god. |

Christianity: look ma, no works needed. Truly a religion for lazy people.
You're still going to hell, Magus. |
