A path established by people like Safarti saying the same thing over thousands and thousands of times.

I don't deny the Safarti/Socrates connection, but using a "sound-alike" argument one could argue that there's only 3 actual creationists in existence, and the rest are just psuedonyms.
An Excellent point. I'd like to read one of their "accademic" journals to see if there are any new arguements...:banghead:

This is true. One of the hard things about answering TO Feedback is that we see the same questions over and over and over again, often verbatim and taken straight from the pages of AiG or the dustjacket of Wells' or Behe's books -- or worse, some bit of nonsense written 40 years ago and parroted endlessly by the marching morons of the creationist movement.

You're right, that isn't conclusive evidence at all. I'm absolutely convinced that Socrates is Sarfati, though, and that dave--f is either a huge fan of AiG or someone who works there.

I'm sure they're a pain in the ass to write, but they are just so enjoyable to read. I've several friends who aren't interested in the creation/evolution debate who will read the feedback when it pops up every month.

I'm convinced now that Socrates = Sarfati too. A poster named 'Minnesota' (is he one of you?) came and said outright that Socrates is Sarfati. Soc became strangely quiet ever since.

FiveSolas came, edited Minnesota's comments, and warned him with this:

Surely some of you registered at TheologyWeb long before Socrates' secret identity was revealed... do you remember by any chance whether that rule was in place back then, or did they put it there just to accommodate him?

EDIT: In any case, I managed to see Minnesota's original, and the revelation of Socrates' identity wasn't all that was edited away... conveniently TheFiveSolas also removed all of his comments on the laughability of TJ's peer review, but managed to leave the Socrates quotations in the beginning of the post.

The issue really doesn't come up because I don't think anyone else is denying who they are.

I publicly noted that. They do that a bunch. When I moderate, if there is a bad word, I'll zap the word and replace it. They take the whole thing out. I hate that because it is misrepresenting what the poster said.

It's ironic because they are forever spruiking on about how YEC is a "right wing American fundamentalist" invention, yet they are the ones who adopt an American spelling -- because they are outgrowths of American skeptic/humanist groups"
- Socrates, TheologyWeb
Yet another coincidence?

Default The Socrates/Sarfati Thing

Yeah, I got my hands slapped on that one. No big deal, but I bridle when I see Socs referring to himself (Sarfati) in the third person.
I've been temporarily assigned to purgatory until I post an E-mail to the administration promising I'll never do it again. When the ban is lifted I'll repost my comment with the references to Sarfati deleted.
