Default Is it morally wrong for a group of people to have self-determination?

Even if they're white?

A clarifying question - do you mean self-determination as in their own separate political state?
If you do, I say it is not morally wrong, but that sometimes practicality or political expendiency trumps morality.

Hmmm... I think that some people have a right to self determination and some don't. For instance, let's say I lived in a house. And let's say I had a brother who lived, in, I don't know, Nevada, and he had a house as well. And let's say that the two of us wanted to secede. I would say no there is no right for us to form our own little country consisting of two houses in two different states.

Generally, a nation has a right to self-determination. Sometimes it is a fuzzy line when some group is a nation or when it is not, but the things to consider are mainly historical, geographic, cultural and linguistic distinction from other nations.

a political state can be large or small. I guess this question goes out to the libertarians.

I mean we declare ourselves the sovereign nation of Justmea, and start doing all the things a sovereign nation does: Issuing money, constructing an army, enforcing the laws we make with jails and fines, sending an ambassador to Washington and inviting them to send one to my spare bedroom, etc.

It's a vague question. First there has to be a decision of the people to join the group and it's self determinsm should not inhibit or suppress other groups. In a democratic society this is freedom with responsiblility

Any true groups will contain individuals with different viewpoints but they will have a common goal. Groups vary between very individualistic peoples and followers of the herd.
