The original argument being "If God does not exists, life has does not have meaning"

But this is clearly, to me, a non-sequitir because life having meaning and god existing are not sufficiently related.

That's because I misread your question. I responded to

but what you wrote was

I'll go this far with you: If there is no meaning without god, then there is no meaning with god either. (This works, I think, for any meaning of meaning that anyone wants to pick.)
