WJ,

The ball's in your court. I'm not the atheist who claims they know God doesn't exist; you do!

The only claim I've made is that I find your repeated thread hijacking tiresome.

Indeed. The courteous thing to do, then, is to request that a game be played; not run into the court and steal the ball.

There is no game. The fact remains that atheism manifests as an oxymoron (a religion) when you assert your belief (or lack of belief) when arguing your case. It is unavoidable I know, but it exists.

To say 'no thing' would actually go farther in proving to the world that you actually 'know' God doesn't exist. Fact is, you don't know.

Agree or disagree?

What in the hell are you talking about now? The default state is 'no beliefs exist until someone says I believe in x.' It is not possible to say "I don't believe in x" until someone else says "I believe in x" because the concept x doesn't exist until then. Get it?

WTF? So if someone asks me, "Do you believe in God," and I say nothing, I am tacitly acknowledging that I have a positive belief that God doesn't exist? This is the best you have Walrus? Please tell me your entire argument does not rest on this rubbish.

Then why don't you say God doesn't exist, and end the discussion? You literally keep beating a dead horse. Like the thread says...period.

Why??? Why proclaim to the world you have this knowledge? And what is this superior knowledge/truth based on?

Perhaps it would be better to say:

There exist no credible evidence for the existence of any god or gods. In fact there exists no credible evidence for the existence of any supernatural being(s) or talents.
No god(s), no ghosts, no reincarnation, no psychics, no dowsers, no faith healers, no levitators, no magick, no speakers with the dead, or speakers for the dead, no angels, no devils, no demons, no spirits, no fairies, no goblins, no dragons, no miracles, yadda, yadda, yadda, ad nauseum, ad infinitum, ad hoc, add your message here.

If anyone, anywhere, has evidence of those things, please do post it. If not here, well then take it to Fox as they apparently will put anything on the air. Put it out in the public arena where it can be scrutinized and tested.

I am so frigging tired of all this, "well, I know someone, who is related to somebody, who had an uncle that saw a pixie in his garden"

What a load of crap. All you believers out there in whatever sort of fol-de-rol or claptrap you happen to believe. It's time to PUT UP OR SHUT UP!, you got evidence? fine, let's see it. You got some vague feeling or knowledge in the pit of your stomach that tells you that you are the reincarnation of Charlemagne, take a Tums. (why isn't anyone ever the reincarnation of some piteously poor little nobody?)

It looks like after his attempt to hijack a few threads and spread his word, WJ's arguments are no more than a veiled disguise of presuppositionalism, decorated with a healthy helping of semantics and rhetoric. Good job.

How can you be so positive that there are no supernatural manifestations? Because you haven't experienced them yourself? It appears, from your posts, that as far as you are concerned all who claim that they experienced some type of paranormal activity are pathological liars? Isn't that a bit too presumptuous of you?

Vic,

Everyone, every sane mother's offspring must admit that the majority of people throughout recorded history have been wrong about the supernatural. Despite their willingness to cart out the "prove my god doesn't exist" argument, the majority of theists are strong atheists with respect to the gods of others. Why?

The reasons, I think, vary from theist to theist. I would be interested in learning why the folks who are theist here do not believe in other gods. Gods are not logically exclusive.
