You basically got it right, but I'm such a big fan, and that's such a glorious line, I wanted to perfect it
Close but no cigar. Here's the perfect version:

"Wrong! Conan, what is best in life?"

"To crush your enemies, see them driven before you, and to hear the lamentation of their women."

"That is good!"

As spoken by Ahnuld, the line is pure poetry.

But IIRC, this did not appear in any of the Robert E. Howard stories, but only in the movie.

This makes it non-canon Conan.

While I agree with you on REH canon Conan, the movie Conan the Barbarian still has its charms.

Now for authentic Conan you need something like this:

"If you'd said that to one of my wilder brothers, you'd have found yourself with a split head. But I've lived among you civilized men long enough to understand your ignorance and lack of common courtesy - the churlishness that demands his business of a man who appears at your door out of a thousand-mile wilderness."

-Robert E. Howard, "Treasures of Tranicos"
