I've most recently decided that I'd like to be cremated, but wasn't sure how it worked around organ donation. Obviously, now that I think about it a bit more, they could take the organs first and then do the cremation. I see cremation as a quicker way to return to the earth (ashes to ashes and what-not).
I've thought about that too. Will try to leave instructions for the cadaver use or skeleton or what not. Cremate the rest if required. Seems stupid, though. I'd really be quite happy with a chipper-shredder. What's the point in paying money to have something done with a dead body?

Luckily, my husband and I are on the same page about this.
- Donate whatever is possible
- Check for recent legislation allowing for chipper-shredder use in the woods
- failing that do a cremation so at least we're not taking up space as well as energy.

Did you know you _must_ buy a box for your cremations? What's the point? You're burning it up! Another silly law that we can't just wrap up in a sheet.

Weird custom - doing something with bodies. Really bizarre when you think about it. Or - ahem, when _I_ think about it.

I'll be dead. What would I need them for?

Wow! Those are some numbers. That's one religion-biased theory ready to be shot down.

I've had several people tell that they are nervous about donating organs because they may need them in the afterlife. Especially, the eyes.
