Mibby, theories--and objections to theories--are based on evidence. Evidence is the basis of critical thinking in evolutionary biology. Heck, it's the basis of the scientific method itself. A couple of us have asked now, politely, about your own ideas, because surely they are based on some kind of evidence. We have been rebuffed. What are we to think, except that you are the one incapable of thinking critically?

However, my question is: since there is no doubt that North America was inhabited by humans prior to the arrival of the Europeans, where did the existing population come from?

Simple question requiring a straight answer. Not a strawman because I'm not trying to put words in your mouth. I'm not postulating or advocating any theory of any kind.

Where did the native americans come from?</strong>

Africa, about 500,000 years ago?

Sorry, I've not been following this closely, but surely that is not in dispute...? It's either that, or created separately (and I've never heard of races being claimed as separate creations); or else they evolved from... New World monkeys...?!

'Critical thinking' clearly does not mean the same thing to us Infidels as it does to Mibby and his rain-dancing 'scientific authority' Vine Deloria. For instance, in Mibby's World, critical thinking means abandoning theories based not on the physical evidence, but on the race and religion of those who thought of it first.

I can understand your frustration, Mibby. It is the frustration that all quacks
feel when their wacky 'theories' finally smash against the brick wall of reality, and are shattered into a thousand fallacies.

Well, there's the rub, ain't it? Mibby has categorically rejected all of the out-of-Africa theories, the east asian migration theory, etc. So that's why I asked where the native Americans came from.
