I find that number odd. 10% plus of those offenders didn't use pornography. I think they lied on the survey sheet.

This is up there with porn destroys marriages. Sure, it can, however, I doubt the < ~5% of marriages that end because of porn support the entire billion dollar plus a year porn industry.

How do you define it? Why do you abstain from it?

just curious...

This is not discussing porn as as it relates to media. So I'm sending it off to Misc.

But I do know several woman who do not use pornography. I consider them to have unhealthy sexual issues, but I don't believe anywhere near 100% of humans use porn for one of several reasons.

One option you missed: Not at all, but hoping to rectify the situation in the near future.

Unless I get a definition of pornography, I can't vote on this poll.

Now, if you'd said erotica, I would have had no problem.

I'm waiting for someone to tell me the definition of "use."

Use:

Do you watch/look at/read porn/erotica to jack off/turn your wife's crank a bit/enhance sex/relax? Then you are using porn.

Exactly, my answer hinges on whether or not "erotica" and "porn" are the same thing or not.

Assuming that these figures are correct (which isn't really at all certain, considering the source), I wonder what percentage of general populace uses pornography? My guess is ~90%.

Also, I'm making this a poll because polls are fun , but primarily I'm interested in real statistics and studies (if such things exist), so if anyone has any information it will be appreciated.
I'm only mildly surprised at the numbers--and that because sex criminals have a *BELOW* average exposure to pornography.

I don't see how porn could destroy a marriage. It might be a symptom but not the cause.
