B)Most evangelicals and fundamentalists are likely unaware of this situation and wouldn't probably care if they did know.
I stand by this statement. I have debated with a theological professor/priest and my girlfriend and they get stumped aand shove their doubts aside when the cognitive dissonance gets too much.
They dont care because the very definition of the word faith negates caring about the workings of what they call the carnal brain/mind.
The spiritual brain reigns supreme.

IMO, among christians, the sillier your beliefs are, the more intelligent you seem.
The more you lie and say silly things, the more holy you are.

And dont ask for evidence because that is my opinion. If you can believe in strangers (people who wrote the bible) why not believe in me?
Have some faith

There are no such "original manuscripts", as there are several originals of several origins, Eastern as well as Western.
I never said there were. It's not part of the belief that the originals are still in existence.

Ok, help me out here...

You leapt to the unwarranted and incorrect conclusion that I was saying Christians believe the original manuscripts still exist.

How is my 'trying again' going to cure you of that?

I won't ask for evidence but I think you're posting this on the wrong board. This is not the board for 'unsubstantiated opinions about Christians'.

It probably has to do with the laurels of the presumed Biblical author
