First I'm not your pal. I count only honest people as my pals. Secondly you don't have to store all the abundant information in your brain, that's what books and other data storage systems are for. All you really need to store is the information on how to retrieve it. I have all of mankind's knowledge available at my fingertips--and nowhere in it is any proof whatsoever of a God.

Yes ... books existed. But you forgot a few things.

1. Books could be lost and destroyed.
2. Information on the books can be misinterpreted.
3. Vital information in the books can be lost due to irresponsible man-handling.

In the end, you have nothing but information which in few generations could be reviewed by another generation and intrepreted in another form or into another meaning.

Like most Atheists in the US and Ireland I grew up as a Christian. I wished to believe in Jesus. I wished to do so so strongly that I set out to prove that Jesus and God were real. I do now admit that I was wrong.

Like most people in my side of the Planet, I grew up in a society where various religions existed - Hindusm, Buddhism, Islam, Christianity and other sub-religion such as Toasm etc.

My mother, like most mothers in theists family send me to study religions and I did. I didn't question her and I didn't stop questioning myself.

What I found out during my 30 years of living is that religion by itself is misleading, simply because, like books, some of the vital information inside a religion could dissappear or modified to suit current trend thus causing confusion among the followers.

In that context, what to do? I have 2 options -
1. Don't follow Religion and beliefs which contradicts logic and don't believe God because He cause it.
2. Don't follow things in Religion which is contradicts to logic but believe in God because this is man-made error.

I choose door no. 2.

I never reject reality for fantasy. Living in fantasy is like living in a dream of self-solitude ... you can dream all you want, think all you want and make assumptions of all you want, but in the end, there is always some itchy-bitsy doubt in the back of your mind.

For me, I believe I'm living in a world where there is more than meets the eye.
