Yes, of course it is, but can we stand the idea that the Russians had a space station and we didn't have a bigger and better one?

The predictably annoying thing about it is that it was sold as a great and wonderful science environment, and it was clear from the start that it was just going to be an engineering project. So once they'd helped themselve to all the spare money going around and then some, and the NASA science budget had been slashed to compensate, all of a sudden they've decided they can't afford to have a science environment after all. That thing is a classic case of building it because we can.
