True, but I think the point here is the potential for harm. Whether pedophiles ALWAYS cause harm with their activities is irrelevant. Not all would-be murderers successfully kill. Not all drunk drivers end up causing car accidents.

The consensus of our society is that the chance that the act of pedophilia will cause harm is great enough that it is made illegal.

Why do you say that pedophilia is morally wrong?

Because it emotionally and probably physically harms the child.

So the premise you're discussing of course applies to pedophilia, and your argument is nullified.
