And to complete the example, just after the Lone Ranger saved him, he died of a heart attack.

So given this example, in a similar case of the multiple witness accounts we have one "witness" who somehow forgets to mention the whole deal of the guy being saved by the Lone Ranger and dying of a heart attack, so we're left to assume he died in a hanging (which is incorrect--he is a very bad "witness"). And the other "witness" doesn't mention the hanging or the Lone Ranger, and instead just has him dying of a heart attack. Again not the best witness. Why would anyone believe anything these "witnesses" say let alone that they are "inspired?"

It's so clear and obvious, why are you evil skeptics distorting the truth? There is no contradiction here, he fell and bust open his gut, then bleeding and screaming he hung himself to end the pain.

My idea here might have happened, therefore it did happen and so there is no contradiction. Gee, this is easy

Seriously though, Family Man's last two posts are great. I hope Douglas reads them a few times before posting the same things again while claiming we're not reading his posts.

Cool

I thought I settled this weeks ago…

Judas died twice. In between, he was resurrected. Apparently, Judas is also the son of God, but nobody in the Jesus cult wanted to admit this type of sibling rivalry ever existed. Since only books from the Jesus cult survived, no additional evidence of the divine Judas exists.

So, anyone else want to invent an explanation that has absolutely no support from the plain meaning of the text?

The author of Acts is the same as the author of the gospel of Luke. (Note that there are at least six references to Judas in Luke). In Acts 1, verses 16 and following, we see Luke is recording the words of Peter. This is the very same Peter who was a special disciple of Jesus. This is the same Peter who knew Judas Iscariot very well--they lived in very close contact for the three years immediately prior to Judas death (verse 17: "he was one of our number and shared in this ministry").

Sigh....

Where do you get this bogus information???
Fist of all, the author of Luke is unknown, and certainly not written by anyone who could have been an eyewitness. The average life span around the supposed time of Jesus is around 40 years, and Luke was written no less than AD70, while Acts was written around AD 40. Although it's certainly possible, it's very unlikely that both of these books were written by the same author. <img src="graemlins/banghead.gif" border="0" alt="[Bang Head]" />
