Here in Lancaster, OH they take kids across the street to a Methodist Church for after school tutoring. They have it down in the basement which has some Christian paraphanalia displayed.

The principal said they did it so the kids would have a "change of scenery". Of course, the school system hit the churches in town hard for volunteers. And the guy who initiated the program also runs the homeless shelter which is the kind of place where you have to pray and sing hymns before you eat or get a bed for the night.

And one year, the city council swearing-in ceremony was held at the biggest evangelical church in town. And many of our polling places are in churches.
