For the ladies: What do you think about tall men?
OK, so this is purely to satisfy my own curiousity ( i.e. gain a little bit of insight into the female mind.)
I'm 6'6" tall with a muscular build. I don't work out, but alot of people think I do. Strangers often ask me if I play football or tell me that I look like a pro wrestler (without the mullet, face paint, and tights.) Every so often guys will tell me "If I were as tall as you are I would get all the girls." Obviously this isn't the case, and there's alot more to romance than height, but sometimes I feel that I have a disadvantage being so tall. Sometimes I feel like I'm intimidating to women. So here's my question: What is your opinion of really tall/big (not fat, just with big builds) men when it comes to romantic relationships? I've noticed that usually older women (35 +, which is older than my 29 years) tend to be attracted to me while younger ones tend to prefer smaller, less intimidating men. Do you think that means anything? P.S. I see alot of "musclehead" guys running around in tight shirts trying to impress woman with their biceps. I'm not talking about those guys. |

While I find myself attracted to tall guys (I'm pretty tall myself so they make me feel more petite ) it's never been an issue or criteria for me. My husband is a full inch (at least) shorter than me. Put me in heels or boots and I'm a good 4 inches taller.
Proportion is more important to me... I don't really like "short and stocky" OR "tall and skinny". |

i prefer people of the same height, and the same would apply if i were straight. Its probably just me and another one of my subconcious grasps at equality.

I like tall men, but I'm 5'0", so basically all men are "tall" compared to me. So I chose "height doesn't matter" 'cause even if you're 5'3" I'll still think you're tall
Attn short guys! Date me! I'll boost your self esteem! Just kidding, Dave |

I prefer men taller than me, but how much taller doesn't really matter. I'd probably have problems with somebody Yao Ming-sized (7'5"!!!) but I don't think 6'6" is too tall. The only real problem is it makes kissing a little difficult, if we're both standing up anyway. (But who wants to do that?)
I'm with christ-on-a-stick, though, proportion is what's really important. I'm not put off by height per se, but if you're 6'5" and skinny as Kate Moss, that's not a Good Thing (for me anyway). |

I voted physically incompatible with tall men and at a mere 5 ft 1.5 inches you can imagine why the one time I dated a guy at over 6ft we looked ridiculous on the dance floor trying to slow dance!!!
I would if I could. |

I like tall guys. A lot. Which is a problem, since I'm 5'2" and most of them don't want to date somebody as short as me. So here goes another dating rant...

Hmmm... I'd have to say it's not really a criteria for me.
Well, I do like tall men. I've been known to ogle them a few times - especially if they also have broad shoulders (yum!). However, I've, erm, sampled... a wide range and found that the fellow half a head shorter than me can be just as much fun as someone I have to risk neck-strain to kiss! Me darlin' husband is just an inch or so taller than me and that seems just right. |
