Default Looking for a new god to worship

After giving up the worship of the christian God,I am looking for a new god to worship.

But I do not know much about the long line of ancient and recent gods that are worshipped from ancient times to now.

Maybe someone can help me find a new god to worship.

Take a visit to the god-market. Here's a few sections...

Greek section: Dionysius, Apollo, Zeus, Athene, Hera.

Roman section: Jupiter, Vulcan, Venus, Mars, Minerva.

Celtic section: Belenos, Toutatis, Epona, Esus, Lug. (thanks God for Asterix for educating me on those!)

Egyptian section: Ra, Osiris, Isis, Serapis, Sekhmet.

Germanic section: Odin, Thor, Frigg, Loki.

Slavic section: Dazhbag, Svarog, Perun.

There are a few more, such as the Babylonian and Sumerian sections, whose gods I currently don't remember. But as you can see, the choice is pretty varied. You can always try out a god and leave him if you aren't satisfied.

from the Silver Birch anthology

"It took me many years to learn to think like that," he said, "for in my days on earth I venerated many gods. I had to learn that there is only one Great Spirit, Who has provided eternal laws for the control of every phase of life throughout the boundless universe."

That is why I am going to try another god,I will pray to one god at a time for two months and if that god does not give results I will pray to another one.

Yeah, but you might as well go back to praising God, since both Him and Joe have the same 50% success rate. =)

MzNeko, thanks for mentioning Bast, but Emotional forgot a very important one in the celtic section: Morrigan. I mean, she's like the christian god, only more consistent, (do as I say, AND as I do: kill the $*#$ers. All of them.) and cooler.

and Gcameron (and Ad Astra), remember, you worship the sun. You pray to Joe Pesci. After all, you don't pray to the sun because you wouldn't want to impose on your friendship

Well, the Morrigan is quite a cool chick, if I say so myself.
