Uhhh...looks like Mr. Sammi Na Boodie has gone an run away.

Oh darn, I was so looking forward to his explanation of the relevance of infinity theory.

0.7874015748031496062992125984252% chance?

This is probably false. But I choosed this line of reasoning. A single event must occur on one of 7 days. All events can occur on one single day.
I used binary numbers.
The question is how probable it is for every day to have an event. This was not the original question, but it should be equal.

An event on every day = 1111111b.
1111111b = 127.

Atleast one day will have events on it.
128 - 1 = 127 possible outcomes.
100% / 127 = 0.7874015748031496062992125984252%

Theli,

If you had multiple events occur on the same day, how would you represent that with binary numbers?

Naturally, if 2 events would occur on a single day. One of the other days would have no event on it.
If monday-friday had one event on each, saturday had 2 events and sunday had no events, we would get 0111111b. If 3 events occured on saturday, but no on sunday or tuesday we would get 0111101b.
I'm not sure if this system works properly yet.
I might have to use octadecimal numbers, wich would ofcourse decrease the chance to the extreme.

The problem there is that you cannot represent all the possibilities with binary the way you are doing it. For example, 0111111b could mean that Saturday had two events or it could mean that Wednesday had two events. These two different possible distribution are only being counted as one.

You can try using a base 7 number system. (Would that be called septal? ) But even that would not take order into account.

Greetings Venerable Sammi Na Boodie,

I am a humble schoolboy who does what he can to learn his lessons and does not pretend to be a mental master (de)bater such as yourself. Please forgive me, but perhaps you have not noticed that you are also arguing like a young schoolboy who must always be right.
