I wonder what they're going to have for diner to night? Shouldn't let it go to waste.

I wonder what the Raelians (sp?) will have to say about Dolly seemingly aging prematurely, or will they just ignore the issue?

This is unfortunate. How far behind are the cries of "see, it can't EVER work, 'cause God don't like it"?

BTW, it seems beyond coincidence that Matilda, Australia's first cloned merino has also just died.

http://news.ninemsn.com.au/Sci_Tech/story_28456.asp
Quote:
Australia's first cloned sheep, Matilda, died unexpectedly of unknown causes, the South Australian Research Institute (SARDI) announced.

Executive Director Rob Lewis said an independent autopsy failed to identify what killed Matilda, who died at the Turretfield Research Centre, north of Adelaide, on the weekend.

Her body was found by staff on Sunday morning.

"On Saturday, when she was last inspected, she was remarkably healthy," Mr Lewis told AAP.

"The animal has been particularly sprightly and her death was very unexpected."
I didn't know this ...
Quote:
Matilda, at the age of nine months, gave birth to healthy triplets using a speed-breeding technique.

That was more than a year younger than most sheep, and her offspring have gone on to successfully reproduce.
