One I keep passing every day that always irks me for some reason...

On a Free Will Baptist church sign:

God Can!

Now, I'm not up on that specific denomination's viewpoint on the actual free will issue, but whether god can or not, he won't, if you believe that he cannot interfere in our free will, right?

The corniest church sign I've seen is:

Wal-Mart isn't the only saving place.

Just saw one like that this week.

Hmm, does that mean they believe in reincarnation?

Oh yeah? I'd like to see him damp a snare drum using nails.

Default Comments on signs

"Some people use duct tape to fix everything. God used nails"

1. Well, he wasn’t the smart enough to invent the duct tape.
2. Well, he was a carpenter, right?
3. Did he use a hammer too?
4. What else did he use to fix things? Ax?

“THE MOST POWERFUL POSITION IS ON YOUR KNEES”
1. I respect Opera Nut’s opinion. And I like her thinking.
2. I’ve read somewhere:” It’s better to die standing than live on my knees” (It has nothing to do with Opera Nut’s opinion. It’s about: Better to die as a free man than to live as a slave.)

Do religious people like to be god’s slaves?

"God answers knee-mail" and "Your always-on, 24/7 connection: prayer."
1. In Toronto there are two popular pizza phone numbers: 241-0-241 and 967-11-11. Those signs made me hungry (These pretzels are making me thirsty!). Can I order pizza by the phone number from “Bruce Almighty”? Do I have to kneel while ordering pizza?
“Be an organ donor--- give your heart to Jesus!”
1. Should we limit ourselves to only heart? Can we donate other organs too? If yes, what would it be? By the way, Jesus has a heart problem? What usually happens to heart donor after donation?

“If you're living as if there's no God--you'd better be right.”
1. It’s not a threat. It’s a hope.

“God Can!”
1. Thank god! Finally. I suspected he had some problems because he had a child long time ago – about 2000 years. I’m glad he is healthy again. We should expect more children soon. Is it a boy or girl? Who is the happy mother-to-be? Should other married virgins prepare themselves for the mission? Mission possible?

That's deep, man. Bumpersticker spirituality at its best.

Not a church sign, but a billboard (but being in the Bible Belt, they're the same thing):

LOOKING FOR A SIGN FROM GOD? THIS IS IT!

That's all it says. It's white lettering on a black background and that really is all it says. :banghead:

Hmmm... what's this "Jesus" person doing with all these hearts he's collecting? And what happens to all these heartless people afterwards?

These billboards on the highway always annoyed me:

I want to post one with the same format that says "God is dead - Neitzsche". Not so much because it's a particularly eloquent statement but for the public shock factor.
