But, in QM there is an additional magnetic moment that an electron has just for being an electron, without needing to be bound in an orbit(al) to an atom. It's through this magnetic moment that we detect the intrinsic "spin" of an electron.

I suppose that's an important distinction, that when we talk about electron spin, we are not saying, "an electron is an extended body that rotates," but "the electron has an intrinisic magnetic moment that formally looks like the magnetic moment of a spinning extended body without the electron actually being one."

Quantum mechanical spin is related to quantum mechanical orbital angular momentum, but only through being represented by different solutions to the same set of operator commutation equations (read: at a very abstract level which non many people really understand, myself included.)
Um, yes, but the original question was Concerning Maxwell, what is a magnetic moment?. Nothing to do with QM, really

Bugger that! I just pretend they don't exist. Then I have to do homework and can't pretend anymore. Then I realized somebody actually took the time to perform all those tedious normalization and matrix calculations and snicker cuz I don't have to. I just use the chart. Bwahahah.

Default what does photons add up to then?

I don't see why photons can't be added up. If they are part of the picture, then how do they accumulate to give the picture? If they can't cluster, then there must be another additive which allows the picture to form...

* * *

Does anyone know if there is some EM radiation which have their electric & magnetic components as a result of the EM existence. In other words an effect.

*I ask too many questions, I know, but at the moment I am caught up in a small bit of Family Affairs.*

They can. Photons are bosons and as such can be piled on top of each other as many as you'd like.

Well, a picture is formed because film (or a CCD) is sensitive to the total number of photons that hit it. The more photons that arrive, the more "signal" appears on your film or CCD.

is God PHOTONS, DNA
Ive been reading quantum mechanics for quite some time, and recently listened to Dr. michio kaku a quantum physicist on pbs, he said that what religion calls God, is Light, and that when you smash every known PARTICLE, WHATS LEFT IS LIGHT. John grivens and others agree, its curoius that the bible says that God is light, Einstein said light comes to the earth at an angle, and this light or photons are messenger particles, angels, messengers, angles messenger particles?

Science has put information in a dot of dna and transported the infromation in a photon particle, received it on the other end and read the message, proving that light can carry information, proving that light or photons are messenger particles. GOD.

Forget the religious idea of god, if the bible says god is light, and if science says nothing comes to the earth except an occasional meteor but angles of light which are messenger sfrom above, from stars, novas etc.

Maybe we should follow science, follow mr. michio kakus lead, and maybe what religion calls god is really, angles of light.

what about it?

Also if you read jeremy narbys book the cosmic serpent, jeremy is an anthropologist that spent some years with native tribes in the jungle, and has some interesting things to say about DNA, snakes and twins in all cultures what were they. a great book.

Science says that a strange star called ets carinae, which is part of the constellation ARGO, is pumping out new dna, and has been for thousands of years, maybe millions, DNA from stars, read about it on nasas god.dard space page. dard means language, is it that science is gods language, goddard, synchronicity?

light dna, goddard space flight center and sonneborn.

NightWatchman has started a similar thread in Elsewhere. I will move it here to get some S&S perspective.
