So, if I understand you correctly...

1) God inspired the Bible.

2) God did not inspire it in such a fashion that it could be properly translated into modern English.

3) Therefore the Bible cannot be understood by most people who read the Bible, because they lack the education to interpret it in the way that you do.

Question. When did the information necessary to fuel your particular interpretation become available?

4) Which means that Christians must depend on an elite minority who tell them what to believe because they can't comprehend it themselves through the Bible itself.

5) Thus Christianity is a religion designed to promote authority. By your own tacit admission, Biblical truths are not available through study of the Bible and prayer.

Correct.

2) God did not inspire it in such a fashion that it could be properly translated into modern English.

Actually, He did, but the translators, by their own admission, were faulty.

3) Therefore the Bible cannot be understood by most people who read the Bible, because they lack the education to interpret it in the way that you do.

The way that I do? I appreciate what you are saying, but I am only a student. The tools for proper translation exist and are very easy to understand. But people are lazy.

Question. When did the information necessary to fuel your particular interpretation become available?

My particular interpretation? Please, my modesty.

Remember that not everybody in Judea about 2000 years ago could even read or have access to the Scriptures. And up until 1611, there was nobody handing out "Gideon Bibles".

But there have been scholars, such as E.W. Bullinger, Thirtle, Ginsberg, etc. who have studies the oldest, best Hebrew (including the Massorah) and Greek MSS and have made their works available. Much of this work was done in the last century, and most churches never bother using it.

4) Which means that Christians must depend on an elite minority who tell them what to believe because they can't comprehend it themselves through the Bible itself.

Lazy is as lazy does.

5) Thus Christianity is a religion designed to promote authority. By your own tacit admission, Biblical truths are not available through study of the Bible and prayer.

I have no authority.

Biblical truths are available through study and prayer. But don't be lazy about it.

In the "parable of the talents" the master gave to each one "according to his several ability". Lazy people are just not very able.
