Oh, I AM disappointed. I perceive you as quite more knowledgeable [vis-a-vis my earlier misnomer "smarter"] and more clever than me. I assure you they are quite related to Bible Criticism; though not as scholarly an approach as one might expect.

They were designed to preclude the ancillary "debate chess tactics" deployed by other apologists I've encountered. [Surely you've seen the kind I mean---those who will smugly attempt to keep one tap-dancing over twenty minutes of captious minutiae before finally conceding the one-word answer they knew they'd have to give.] I prefer to believe that you trust the Holy Spirit enough to avoid such contemptible digression.

So I sincerely and hopefully request you reconsider your reluctance to address the points and questions of my original post. It is YOU to whom the Spirit in the Sky has guided me. I have only "current notions". I have come this far in my thinking because I have no fear of the possibilty I could be wrong. Please edify me.

If I transfer my original post to the appropriate forum, will you answer me there? C'mon, c'mon, say yes.

I'd whole heartedly endorse such a transfer under any conditions.

Could you provide a reference for this (i.e. the correct phrasing being "smarter than me"?) I'd be very curious to see solid evidence for your assertion. Most of my life I have been told this was a mistake. The usual argument is that one would not say "smarter than me am." I'd love to have proof to the contrary.</strong>
I refer the good gentleman* to the reference book so referenced.[The full edition, not the collegiate.]

*FYI: When gender is not implied I assume male; as tradition wonts.

Will do. I encourage you to post your own response, sil-vous plait.

For my own information, could you briefly denote your place on the philosophical and theological spectra? Monikers are often ambiguous or misleading. Thank you.

And questions are sometimes pretentious and leading and, as such, unworthy of response. Furthermore, since I consider myself a philosophical (metaphysical) naturalist, the questions do not seem to apply. And -- you're welcome.
BTW, I'd recommend future thread topics not be employed as ad hominem attack. I feel a bit like an interloper here.
