Bush's boy Frist is on C-Span telling us that we should rely on "prayer" and "our faith" in the face of these new threats of terrorism.

How ironic that the terrorists also rely on "prayer" and "faith."

On edit: As I type this, Senator Frist is reading scripture.

I'm only kidding a little when I say I'm not sure Canada is far enough from the U.S. to be safe. New Zealand, on the other hand...

I've got a daughter. If I thought that we were going the way of The Handmaid's Tale, we'd be out of here so fast, we'd look like the Road Runner.

But, screw it, until that point, I'm staying.

I will leave the United States as soon as possible if any of the following occur:

1. If Christianity (or any religion, for that matter) is made the official state religion.

2. If the Supreme Court reverses its decision in Edwards v. Aguillard and decides that it's okay to teach creationism in public school science classes.

3. If the government starts to enforce the archaic sodomy laws and homosexuals/bisexuals are jailed simply because of their sexual orientation.

4. If Roe v. Wade is reversed and states start to ban abortion.

But until then I shall stay and fight.

The word "devil" was found 22 times.

Context of the first finding:

QUESTION: Why not just say we want him Saddam to go? Why not just say we want him overthrown, we want him out?

MR. FLEISCHER: The policy is regime change. Saddam Hussein is the heart of the regime.

QUESTION: But can you define regime change? Can regime change exist, and Saddam still be in power?

MR. FLEISCHER: This is like how many angels, or in this case, how many devils can dance on the head of a pin.

1) Won't happen. Too many people, including liberal Xtians, would oppose it. Could only be done with a Constitutional amendment.

2) Could happen, in which case it would be left up to local school boards.

3) Won't happen. Homosexuality is too widespread and becoming more accepted every day. If this were even attempted, prominent conservatives like Dick Cheney and Phyllis Schlafly would no doubt oppose it since they have gay children (who they haven't disowned). Even most people who today have a great disdain for homosexuals would not support jailing homosexuals. Not to mention that if the sodomy laws were suddenly enforced there would be a whole slew of cases in the courts challenging the constitutionality of said laws.

4) Could very well happen. Depends on how successful Bush is in packing the court with conservative judges. Once Roe gets overturned some states like Utah, Mississippi and maybe some others would ban abortion. Many more would start to place legal limits on it. Some states like New York and California would do nothing to ban/limit abortion.

We're right on your border!

During the 2001 election, Rick Mercer went up to George Bush and told him that the Prime Minister of Canada "Jean Poutine" had offered his support of Bush

Bush fell for it hook, line and sinker.

Hell, if there weren't snakes involved, then where was Bush?

Oh, right, he was eating our Prime Minister with gravy...
