there are two ways for someone to stroke their self-esteem and elevate themselves.

1) you elevate yourself by simply raising yourself through education, hardwork, positive discussion.

2) you elevate yourself by lowering others.
Which one are you xian?

And you're a liar as well since there are more than two choices.

Which one are you xian?

You just have to read some of his posts on this and other thread to figure that out. From his first post on this thread:

yet they literally DEVOTE themselves- their energy, their time,.....their very lives...against this very thing they reject. They do so with emotional fervor.
WHerever Christianity goes....there they are following like dogs on a leash...shackled and bound....bonded into slavery.

For some people....like Dan Barker, Farrel Till...I see them as men on their knees chained to the Cross of Jesus...unable to escape. They are NOT free from Christianity...they are defined by it. Their lives, inexorably tied to the Christian religion; so much so, that if you removed Christianity from their lives, there would be little remaining.

That reads like an attempt at elevating himself by lowering others to me.

And xian also claimed to be here for "recreational" purposes earlier in this thread. I suspect that recreation largely consists of seeing how far he could piss us off.

Actually, I cannot stand seeing someone picking on the underdog and I will champion the underdog. When I see someone being an ass and causing pain to someone else, I attack. Otherwise, I try light banter to get my points accross. Usually if I don't joke around, I am too direct and usually offend someone. I try to get my self esteem from with in. I think number one is the by-product of finding self-esteem.

Jeez, I forgot to mention this other post of xian's from this thread:

I can't stand all the crap they pass. I am surrounded by anti-christian, anti-semitic, anti-bush, collegiate, corduroy wearing, alcholol-binging, starbucks drinking, party-wasting, war-protesting liberally brainwashed bipedal automotans. But I just do not give them the notice they want me too. They are hardly worth 2 neurons of mental energy.

For those of us who have NO IDEA who Hannity is, I offer these two links (one pro and one con)

I stopped watching his show months ago and haven't looked back.

Hannity has made a career of being a grade A asshole. If he's not bashing Clinton/liberals he's up on a pedestal telling the guests on his show how disgraceful they are and how they should be ashamed of themselves.

He's also fond of brow beating his guests to admit to him that America is the greatest country God gave man.

And this isn't even mentioning what his regular guests such as the hateful and bigoted Ann Coulter and Pat Robertson have to say while up on Hannity's soap box.
