You're right. God can neither deceive nor be decieved because it doesn't exist. Congrats, Gemma, on finally grasping the underlying principle of atheism.

i dunno, gemma......
i've never commited genocide on the whole human species, like God did......
i've never ordered my followers to rape war captives, like God did....
I've never wanted nor desired to have tons of animals killed in my name, just so i can enjoy the scent of their blood and burning flesh......
if i ever had a son (unlikely, i know, but bear with me), i would NEVER send him to be killed just so i can mend broken bridges with other people, when a simple "i forgive you" would suffice.....
I've never been so jealous that i demand that my followers spend all their time focusing exclusively on me, and when they don't, i don't fly into a rage and have them suffer plagues, famine, etc etc.....

gemma....it seems like your God is a horribly immature tyrant. the old testament is chock full of your God's insane laws, monstrous rages, and homicidal tendancies, let alone his overwhelming apparent mental illnesses. if a person in the real world exhibited all the behaviors that the God of the bible exhibited, they'd be locked up in a psych ward.

yes, i AM more moral than your God.

Why would a Christian be so likely to answer anything with a Bible quote/reference that they would need to have a warning in the OP? Good grief.

Are you saying that Christians are incapable of answering the question without diferring to the bible?

If I were to ask Christians what their favorite food was, and I told them that I didn't want them to respond with anything from the bible.... are they gonna say "We don't know our favorite food unless we look in the bible!" ??

It's a simple yes or no question. No bible needed.

No--I'm saying exactly the opposite. Christians are perfectly capable of answering questions without using a biblical reference, thus there is no need for your warning about using biblical references.

You are the one implying that Christians can't open their mouths without Bible falling out. If you didn't think this, why "warn" us with your note? Your warning implied that Christians were incapable of replying with a simple yes or no.

So Happyboy, you're more moral than a non-entity? I think that would constitute amorality.

I fail to see the relevance of this question.

They generally aren't capable of answering this question without differing to the bible. If you took offense by my warning take it up with Christians (just kidding). I've asked the question before only to watch Christians slither and squirm into being able to allude to the bible. I've asked the question and had Christians tell me they can't give their own opinion, without it being the bible's opinion. I've had Christians get angry because I shouldn't be asking questions in which I don't want a biblical response.

Your concern and your argument are way off base, but thanks for the thoughts.

I'll pose two places the question has been asked in which they weren't able to handle answering without the bible(I am Infidel MelMel):

http://pub176.ezboard.com/fgracetoda...picID=99.topic

http://pub2.ezboard.com/fmelythaswor...icID=288.topic <--- The board owner responded instantly with biblical quotes, even after the warning was delivered.
