I am still lost. Your definition would imply that atheist == Christian. Is this so?

Schu, don't look for much by Gemma, she is just a "drive by" poster in discussions like this one.

Christians in the strict definition have comleted the race while atheists have abandonned the race (the race takes us from rebirth to heaven and this is called purgatory in Catholicism). In this sense both are free from the conviction of sin.

The 'so called' Christians who have not yet completed the race are the self proclaimed enriched believers who are running around in circles and will never get to the end and never hope to complete the race until they die and are therefore in our purgatory until they die wich now is equal to eternity in hell because eternal life ends when we die. Eternal life is a concept and has nothing to do with duration in time.

A missionary was shot to death just the other day for simply being a Christian, that is believing the tenets of Christianity. As does happen the world over. One need only look at a country like Sudan to find thousands of present-day martyrs every year.
Not so.
Missionaries do not get killed simply for believing in Christianity.

If I were to approach you children and teach them to be atheists or far worst, some other reiligion. How would you react?

I for one am totally opposed to missionary work. Missionaries divide communities and teach falsehoods to the unsuspecting and vulnerable poor.

If any Christian feels a need to convince somebody let him/her try it on me. I will be all too happy to engage them in discussion.

NOGO, among all the disgusting attributes of Christianity, this one in particular I find the most loathsome. It is the one characteristic that makes me inclined to think that there is no place for Christianity in the world. They just don't know how to play well with others.

Amos, as far as I can tell, your concept of Christianity leads me to think that it is all in one's head. Heaven and hell are not places but mental states, and god is not a being but a state of being. Are there many others like you Amos?

It was narrow-mindedness, laziness, complacency, and fear (not to mention irrationality) at both ends of the lighted torch that led to cases of martyrdom: the martyr for single-mindedly pursuing a faith even to the death; the martyr-er for carrying out the destruction of people just because of their religious beliefs. Two forms of dangerous fanatacism that resulted in barbarism. A deadly alchemy of stupidity. Both parties were being over-economical in the use of their intelligence.

Many Catholics think that way but very few will say so because "those who know don't say." For me it is all philosophy and not much else.

I like it, just as Catholics can convert base metal into gold so can gold be reduced to base metal again by the stupidity the prevails in hell.

Fine. Define it how you like. There are things in heaven and earth not dreamt of by your philosophy.
Describe them just the same.

No it wasn't and it doesn't even say that. Besides it sounds like a parlor trick and is easily disproven anyway. This is an irresponsible and/or ignorant assertion.
I will get you the reference.
I conclude from this, that it is your belief that no other religion can reasonably claim any miracles. You live in such a simple world.

I don't. I'm asking if it happened to you if you would believe it and call it evidence. You would.
Some peope hear voices in their heads and see allucinations. Their interpretation of what they experience is their own. In ancient times drugs gave people the impression that their minds blew up (on high) and thus knew many languages and were somewhat close to God.

If it happened to me?
The problem, Radorth, is that you start from a point of belief that such things actually happened. What if something like that happened to me but instead of something generally associated with Christianity I get something generally associated with Hinduism. What then? Would you accept that as evidence? Yesterday I was doing Yoga and meditating and was able to lift myself off the floor and levitate.

You would dismiss this as fraud. But what if this happened to you?
There is my answer to you.

So, Washington was an idiot apparently, and you and Starboy are much wiser. Thankfully neither of you will ever be President, or father a country.
Radorth, my friend, Radorth.
Washington was not an idiot. Einstein was not an idiot either and yet he was not a Christian nor did he believe in "speaking in tongues". In fact he believed that the Bible (OT) was myth. What are we going to do, Radorth, start comparing which famous person you and I can come up with. I will never be president and you will never be Einstein.

According to you I should give up my own judgement and believe because Mr X believed? People who believe generally do not do so for rational and logical reasons. They believe because they have a need to believe. It is more emotional than rational.

Let me settle it by saying that I would not be a believer even if the whole world was Christian. I bet you would still be a Christian even if the rest of the world was atheist.

Radorth,
Unprovable and gratuitous assertion number 5 in your post. Actually we all know now how atheists jump at anything resembling proof of their pet theories, twisting facts and quotes until they become servants of their faith. Thus we have them trying to explain how Paul wrote Acts 50 years after he died, that Washington didn't read what he signed, etc.
"Unprovable and gratuitous assertion"
This is from a man who believes in "speaking in tongues"
