When ID was being pushed in Ohio last year, Case Western Reserve University did a poll of scientists in the state about ID and evolution. They made a point of including religious college faculty.
Quote:
The survey also explored scientists' views on antievolutionism beyond the intelligent design movement. Some critics of evolution claim evidence against the theory of evolution has caused it to fall out of favor among scientists.
A vast majority (93 percent) of the scientists were not aware of "any scientifically valid evidence or an alternate scientific theory that challenges the fundamental principles of the theory of evolution"

Over time, and like all scientific theories, evolution may "evolve" into a theory with little or no resemblance to the current model. But this will mean, like with all scientific theories, that we will possess a more accurate/reliable understanding of nature.

I often wonder how "creationists" go from pointing out "holes" in evolution theory to asserting that God whipped us up from dust and ribs. This seems to be the "logic":

1. Nature tends to move from order to disorder

2. Living things seem to be more ordered than non-living things

3. Therefore living things required some help

4. Therefore, a superbeing whipped up a dude named Adam from some dust, realized Adam was getting bored and lonely, and subsequently broke off a hunk of his rib and fasioned a wife for him named Eve.

In the words of Moe Sizlack, "Whaaaa?"

Enjoy,

Deke

Casey Luskin of the UCSD ID & Evolution Awareness Club (IDEA) and Center has done the useful service of *combining* all of the various lists that he could find:

Scientists, Academics, and other Intellectuals who doubt Darwinism and other naturalistic theories of origins

The list gets up to 481, but the number of Steves? It was something like 7 if I recall correctly (I think I posted the Steves sublist on t.o.).
