Dan Barker spent the first half of his life devoted positively to Christianity. He now spends the rest of it devoted neagtively to Christianity. He is defined by it, and cannot escape it. He is NOT free from Christianity. And I find this sad. If I believed that this one life was all I had.....and then cessation...I would not be writing songs and wasting musical talent about an invisible unicorn....I would not be spending precious years of my life futily arguing against an insignificant unicorn...I would be LIVING MY LIFE and I wouldn't give unicorn followers a SINGLE OUNCE of my much treasured energy or thought.

if you feel attacked because some bipedal anthropod holds the view that "homosexuality is a sin" then i kind of feel sorry for you.

the MAJORITY of people on earth (meaning > 50%) have views and beliefs that directly attack my views.

There are real, current and significant cases of oppression and harm being perpetrated. It's not that someone thinks it's a sin, I couldn't care less about that. It's that people bring DIRECT HARM to other people because they believe that.

i'm not going to read that whole debate. summarize for me these "oppressed" people, then relate that to how spending countless hours of your life in IIDB.ORG, going around debating, posting to newsgroups, spending days thinking about those xians....has any bearing upon the problem at hand (whatever it is)

surely it wont take countless hours for you to say something like "Christians in location X are persecuting people Y by doing Z"

thats all I need. A brief 2-3 sentence summary of this "attack". I just am not going to read a plethora of pages to find out information that can be contained in a paragraph.
