Why should sex be considered a sin? The Song of Solomon quite rightly depicts steamy, hot, randy sexual acts, and God clearly approves. So, I am left wondering why Solomon was allowed to have wild sex, and the rest of us cannot? Hmmmm, perhaps a literal interpretation of the Bible is the incorrect interpretation?

Also, a bisexual man in the Old Testament has a rather passionate love affair with another man, who's "love exceedeth that of a woman," and yet this bisexual man was never punished by God.....quite the opposite: he became the King of Israel. Perhaps this means that, despite alterations made to the Bible, God does not condemn homosexuals, but rather sees them as just another subset of humans?

Hey, that sounds pretty interesting. Do you know where in the OT?

I'd love to use that sometime.

A hint: the bisexual man's name was David.

Here's more than a hint:
Quote:
2 Samuel 2:26 - I am distressed for you, my brother Jonathan; very pleasant have you been to me; your love to me was wonderful, passing the love of women.

Cool

Hmmm. I can't make up my mind if that quote is obvious or ambiguous.

Perhaps I should read those two books, after all. You know, I've never actually opened one.

David, huh....

and Jonathon.

...who's Jonathon?

David and Jonathan were both warriors. Anyone who has heard combat veterans talk about their experiences knows that they share a comraderie that they could never have with their wives/girlfriends. I don't think it means they ever porked each other, or wanted to.

C'mon. Of course they were porkin' like rabbits. Didn't they consult oracles? And weren't they each master of their domain?

I was mistaken with the verse citation. It's supposed to be 2 Samuel 1:26.

I love this typo near the top:

Jesus used ahorisms to proclaim the kingdom of god"

Well I guess that's appropriate if he hung with hoes, to use

a-hor-isms!
