Hello Helen,

Now that we have established that you believe in God, do you love God?

Sincerely,

David Mathews

David M. : Now that we have established that you believe in God, do you love God?

Helen: Why wouldn't I?

Me: Maybe you believe in him but think he's petty and childish, what with all the jealousy and temper fits.

1. Define your concept of God?

2. Do you love God? (This is an easy question for a Christian, merely needing an affirmation.)

3. Are you a Christian?

4. Have you accepted Christ as your personal savior, obeyed the gospel or become converted to Christ in any other way?

Thanks,

David: What sort of inquisition is it for me to have interest in the faith and religion of my fellow Christian on this board, HelenSL. I appreciate HelenSL's faith in God and love for God. I admire her for her faith and love.

Helen has made such a display of Christian faith and love on this board that even atheists have noticed it. I praise her for her example. I comment her for her stand for God.

Where's the inquisition? I love to hear people speak of their faith and love for God.

Sincerely,

David Mathews

Hello David

Thanks, Helen.

You're welcome

You believe in God and love God.

Most people seem to think I do

It is great to know that there is a fellow Christian on the board.

I'm happy for you that you feel that way, David.

Speaking for myself I'm happy that there are a good many decent, caring, people on here. I appreciate that many have a sense of humor and a keen intellect and think deeply about issues. I appreciate that there's a diversity of ages and backgrounds here. I think it's one of the best online communities I've come across

love
Helen

Hello Helen,

I can't help but think of John 3:16, a passage which I am certain that you love a whole bunch: "For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life."

I would love to hear your testimony, the story of your relationship with God.

I know that you must especially enjoy reading such positive thoughts as Paul's in his letter to the Philippians: "Finally, brethren, whatever things are noble, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report, if there is any virtue and if there is anything praiseworthy -- meditate on these things."

I know that you are a devout student of the Bible. You certainly must treasure and love the wisdom of God. When you attend worship you must sing the songs in spirit and in truth, you must listen to the sermon attentively, you must pray to God fervently and you must edify your fellow Chrstians so very much.

I want to hear some of your testimony, Helen. I want to know how God is working in your life. I want to know how the Spirit of God fills you with love and inspires you to good works.

I know that you must follow that command of Jesus in the Sermon on the Mount, "Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven." Look at how much you have glorified God on this discussion group.

I know that the presence of such a zealous Christian on this atheism board must serve some really good purpose in allowing you to influence them and win them over to Christ. I would love to emulate your example and display Christian love for all of these people.

Would you be so kind as to share your testimony with me? I would love to hear how God is working in your life.

Sincerely,

David Mathews
