Ok this isn't a news flash, but this is a very helpful website when talking about evolution:

<a href="http://tolweb.org/tree/" target="_blank">The tree of life web project.</a>

You can look up ancestral relationships of nearly every species. It is really cool.

Another good overall-phylogeny site: <a href="http://www.ucmp.berkeley.edu/exhibit/phylogeny.html" target="_blank">http://www.ucmp.berkeley.edu/exhibit/phylogeny.html</a>

It's more accessible and easier reading for a nonspecialist than the Arizona one, at least in my opinion.

Now there is a test for suitors worthy of a Greek epic! Helen, Sweetheart of the Internet, watch out.

For those of willing to embark on this fool's errand, you may want to note the following exchange that took place between Douglas and me on <a href="http://www.arn.org/ubb/Forum1/HTML/001817.html" target="_blank">this</a> arn thread:

Quote:
Jesse:
You also never answered my question about whether, if it turned out that humans and chimpanzees were genetically capable of hybridizing, this would show that they were members of the same "kind,"

Douglas:
I would say that if it turned out that humans and chimpanzees were genetically capable of producing offspring, they would be of the same "kind", and the Bible could be safely discarded.

Jesse:
Interesting. Very few creationists would go that far--many feel that being of the same "kind" just means being able to produce fertile offspring. Are you so confident in your interpretation of the Bible's teaching on this subject that you'd drop your faith entirely if your interpretation turned out to be false?

Douglas:
Yes.
So, all you mad scientists out there, you know what you have to do! Greek epic indeed...legend has it that centaurs were the product of a similar "challenge"...

Yep, it's your Douglas. But he's not coming back. He has logicphobia.
