Post 10 Commandments and Smartass Redneck
Just got <a href="http://www.au.org/press/pr081502.htm" target="_blank">AU's activist alert</a> re. the Ringold City, Georgia, lawsuit to remove the 10 commandments and the lord's prayer. AU/ACLU won, so they're coming down.

My favorite part:

Much as I'm fond of our one nation indivisible, I sometimes wonder if we should have let those states go when we had the chance. <img src="graemlins/banghead.gif" border="0" alt="[Bang Head]" />

I remember this coming out awhile back. It is yet another example of reverse discrimination against the nonChristian part of our nation. Which, BTW is over 40 million+ people. It is truly amazing at how blind government can be. I dare say that I hope that the nonChristian part of this society are the next to be liberated. Women's Rights, then Civil Rights, then daresay nonBeliever rights???

It appears that the reason this was so quickly and easily done, is that one of the people who objected to the posting was an ex-green beret, born in GA to a military family, who had lived in the community for quite some time.

Basically, no one could claim that he was unpatriotic nor a member of the community. There goes 99.9% of the arguments that meets people who stand up for the First Amendment.
