I think someone posted this. It seems clearly unfair, but it's not clear that he was protesting the "under God" part of the pledge. He was disciplined for giving a black power salute during the pledge, which was labeled "disruptive behavior".

But I see in this article that it was also alleged that the "Moment of silence" was introduced at the school with "Let us pray" and followed by "Amen".

Great, now students who don't participate can be beaten. In truth I knew this was the case, but I assumed it would be the other students doing the beating, and the authorities merely looking the other way. Now I see that the authorities can do the beating.
