I hope you're as gung-ho about it when these "backwards women haters" use bullets and bombs to shove their worldview down your throat.

I figure that for a lot of people, the two will only be marginally related. But I do think it is interesting to know how it shakes out (you do too, otherwise you wouldn't have voted).

Also, I can imagine some people for whom there would be a direct or collateral influence of one upon the other. For example, the church (an evangellical one) I grew up in is dominated by upper-middle class neoconservative Republicans, who tend to feel we must defend Israel at any cost as part of their god's master plan or something.

Hard polytheist with a Rome-centered view, and I'm against the war.

My religion affects how I interpret the events of the war, but is not why I am against the war. However, the state of conflict with Iraq affected (I think) my attitude toward the non-Roman gods. I had only recently begun to believe in the Roman gods when names like bin Laden became household words. So it's not too much of a stretch to believe that this was an influence on my determination to end the rule of Yahweh and Allah.

As usual the the question and the choices bias the results.

The poll maker should have used the term "war is justified" as opposed to "pro war".

Also does "anti war" mean "agaisnt all wars" or "against this one as it currently stands"?

Also the use to the term "religious" is vague as well.

I didn't vote because my response would have been:

Atheist and apathetic about war.

Too bad our president doesn't hold your position on religion, happyboy.

Shake, were you ever an atheist in a foxhole? Someday I am going to compile a list. So far I have my dad, atheist-in-foxhole, and you. Just one is enough to negate that stupid claim, but why stop there?

The problem with this is that Iraq is a secular modern country where women wear jeans and hold jobs. But since Bush is not bombing Iraq to bring it the uniquely american value of freedom, this does not matter.

Relax, it's not a trap. I'm interested in the conjunction of how people choose to identify themseslves. Any respondent is free to interpret the terms however they want and answer the question accordingly.
