We won't be flying in the air,
Nope it says clear as day "with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air." No spiritual Never-never Land, just "IN THE CLOUDS…IN THE AIR" Bring a jacket with you, it's damp and chilly in the clouds. And please try not to drift into commercial air space if you can help it.

its instantaneous - in the twinkling of an eye.
No, that's how Jesus is supposed to start his comeback tour. There is no information given about your impending lift off. Maybe you'll pop up like a bunch of sanctimonious Pop Tarts from a holy toaster. Maybe it will take weeks for you to slowly rise a few inches every day…it just doesn't say. Rest assured that those of us with our feet on the ground will all start carrying umbrellas as there are no rest rooms in the stratosphere.

Nope, Magus it's not instantaneous in fact it says that there is a long line ahead of you. The line wasn't supposed to be all that long according to the NT

Mt.16:28 "Verily I say unto you, There be some standing here, which shall not taste of death, till they see the Son of man coming in his kingdom."

* Mt.24:34 "Verily I say unto you, This generation shall not pass, till all these things be fulfilled."
* Mt.26:64 "Nevertheless I say unto you, Hereafter shall ye see the Son of man sitting on the right hand of power, and coming in the clouds of heaven."
* Mk.9:1 "Verily I say unto you, That there be some of them that stand here, which shall not taste of death, till they have seen the kingdom of God come with power."
* Mk.13:30 "Verily I say unto you, that this generation shall not pass, till all these things be done."
* Mk.14:62 "And ye shall see the Son of man sitting on the right hand of power, and coming in the clouds of heaven."
* Lk.9:27 "But I tell you of a truth, there be some standing here, which shall not taste of death, till they see the kingdom of God."
* Lk.21:32 "Verily I say unto you, This generation shall not pass away, till all be fulfilled."
* Jn.21:22 "Jesus saith unto him, If I will that he tarry till I come, what is that to thee?"
* 1 Cor.1:7-8 "Waiting for the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ ... that ye may be blameless in the day of our Lord Jesus Christ."
* 1 Cor.7:29 "But this I say, brethren, the time is short: it remaineth, that both they that have wives be as though they had none."
* Phil.1:10 "That ye may be sincere and without offence till the day of Christ. (Paul was addressing the Philippians.)
* Phil.4:5 "The Lord is at hand.)
but your flight has been delayed (by about 2000 years)
I hope you can still make your connections.

I like the handy instruction pages for those of us "left behind", so we don't freak out or anything when the rapture happens.

Then they try to explain to us that the media will have confusing opinions on why a great many people vanished. If only fundies vanish, I will be of the opinion that they are either correct, or God is punishing them for being a-holes, the latter being more likely.

I heard that there are actually video tapes this crowd have prepared for us to watch after they leave, so we have a good trip and all. Sigh. Is it any coincidence that alot of these folks are still trying to eat through their Y2K dehydrated food stores?

The emails to the author are fun too. Here is one favorite of mine...

Dear Todd, One of the things we have done is to download your "Post-Rapture Guide" to our computers. Whenever they are turned on the first thing that comes up is the guide. If everyone who visits the website could be encouraged to do the same thing, many more people can be reached after the rapture, when our stuff gets taken over by those left behind. It's a thought; an idea to share. You've got the best information we've seen for events happening after the rapture. Keep up the good work!

1Cr 15:52 In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.

What do you mean by that? If you mean "Why don't you accept it as true", it's because we find it ludicrous, nonsensical and self-contradictory.

We know what the bible says. Stop patronising us as though we were kids, and start backing up your statements. "Because I said so" holds no weight here.

Biff stated the verse from Corinthians has to do with Jesus, and not the Rapture - i was showing his view is wrong since it clearly refers to believers being raised inccoruptible - so apparently you all don't know what the Bible says.

And maybe ill stop patronizing you as though you were kids, when you start acting like adults instead of making childish, sarcastic, and insulting remarks every other post.

I can't speak for anyone else, but I'm really starting to feel the same way about you. Actually, I felt this way about you many posts ago. What is it about RR and you? Do you assume that because most people there agree with you that most people here will as well?
