Question Is it wrong to say "JEZUSFreakinCRiss"...

...in front of Christians? How about to Christians? I must utter that phrase or "forcrisssake" a minimum of 8-12 times per week. I've been told it's offensive

Some people just hae thin skins. You probably just need to be wary who you say it around, that's all.
I've known people who've gotten offended when I've said "lord love a duck!" Apparently it's a blasphemy.
Overall, I wouldn't worry about it too much unless someone gets REALLY pissed about it. In that case, you should modify your choice of profanity (for their sensitive ears, of course) to something less offensive like "uncle fucker" or "I hear you're from New Zealand."
That should smooth things over.

I like to go with a simple "jesusfuckingchrist and eight other people I dont fucking believe in"

I started saying that a few years ago. I think in response to some dipshit xian who tried to argue that I saying jesus christ as an epithet meant that on some level I believed in jesus.

My new form is like killing two messiahs with one cross. first it clears up any misconceptions someone might have about where I stand theologically and second it pisses off fundies even more than just a straight jesus fucking christ does.

:notworthy

Personally, I hold to the view that religious beliefs, among other opinions, are not entitled to automatic respect...in fact, they are nearly always more silly.

BTW ~ fatherphil, I lost a memo the other day at the office (no, thank you, Mr. Gates!) and spontaneously came up with "Allah's left nut!" as an exclamation of my loss.

Not one shiite would have at me.

I once had a good talk with a Christian friend of mine. I argued that saying "goddamn", etc., was not in violation of any holy commandment (OK, we're heading a wee bit off topic here). My case was based around the fact that God's name is not "God", hence I am not taking it in vain. He conceded the point...

Now "JesusBastardShit" is a wholly different strain of invective.
