Accusing them of changing things when they have deliberately and quite obviously indicated they have not is uncalled for.

Read <a href="http://www.baptistboard.com/ubb/ultimatebb.php?ubb=get_topic;f=36;t=000157" target="_blank">this post</a> where they indicate this is the case.

Okay daemon, I see your point. But obviously it isn't the same as it has been in the past. Stalinism is alive and well on the BB by their own admission of "censoring" the free speech of others.

"It was decided by the webmaster to keep this board open on the same terms it has been
running. All posts will be submitted by email and be edited for insults, personal attacks,
blasphemous statements and so on. Posting will be done once or twice a day as our time
permits.

Thank you for your patience.

The Administrators"

Remeber that "blasphemy" is the crime of making fun of other people's ridiculous beliefs.

So any argument counter to their beliefs (which basically makes a mockery of their beliefs) is blasphemy and will be edited out. Truth as devined by religious authority is what matters to them, not real truth.

Well, they haven't banned me so you never know.

Definitely true, but that's always been the case. I'm not saying that their boards are run perfectly, not by any means, just that they haven't changed. They've always edited and ignored posts, and they've never tolerated criticism of the moderation.

Um, daemon, they banned a bunch of us. I used to post there at E/C, then they supposedly got "swamped" with email replies and never posted my last couple of posts (although they did post the baptist replies to a thread I started, in that same time frame.) Then I was banned with no warning or personal email.

It's kinda hard to participate when you can't even log in anymore.
