I remember the Sputnik episode. I was the one who pointed it out on talk.origins.

In this case, they can't weasel out of it. Even if they do happen to change their webpage, the mistake is still in print, in the October 2002 issue of Acts and Facts (I happen to have a copy with me). If they try to change it without noting any erratum, their dishonesty will be that much more conspicuous.

Elucidate, please, on Sputnik. It was launched in 1957, as I remember it....

The original version (complete with the 750 deg. F. error) is still available at <a href="http://www.icr.org/pubs/imp/imp-352.htm" target="_blank">http://www.icr.org/pubs/imp/imp-352.htm</a>. I snagged a copy; suggest others do likewise. It will be interesting to see when and how the ICR "scientists" deal with this. If it keeps playing well in Sunday school, they might not do anything at all!

(edited to fix a little typo in the URL)

OK, guys...

If you can stand any more ICR bashing, Humphrey's Impact 352 has been thrashed again by your's truly over at bob's place:
<a href="http://www.theologyonline.com/vbulletin/showthread.php?s=&threadid=3598" target="_blank">TheologyOnline</a>

I think this may be the death knell for Humphrey's article. I predict he will have to quietly retract the planned "paper with full technical details" at the upcoming ICC in Pittsburg.
