Can a thing be both infinite (has always existed and will alway exist) and temporal (progresses through time, cannot move ahead any quicker than it does and can't go back, exists in the moment) at the same time?

I suppose it can, provided time itself has always existed and always will (the universe had no beginning and will have no end). Or do you mean can something exist eternally (outside of time), but have influence on events bound by time (i.e. can a timeless being intervene in the very temporal affairs of our universe)? In which case I would say no. Something is either timeless and therefore unable to act in time, or it isn't. But I expect there are plenty of people here with far greater knowledge of the subject than I, who can probably give you a better answer.
