Wink agnostic

I would define an athiest as somone who would say that there is no God as surely as a theist would say that there is one. That's why I call myself agnostic because I don't know.
But if you define an athiest as somone with an absense of belief then I can understand why you don't buy the middle ground since holding no beliefs would amount to the same thing as saying "I don't know."
